  • coach airfare at lowest fare available
  • baggage fees (2 bags) are considered part of transportation fare
  • additional quilts may be requested by group – additional baggage fees to be paid by group.

LIVE VIRTUAL appearances:  Many of the conditions and expenses required by in-person appearances do not apply to virtual appearances. Programs will be presented on Zoom featuring PowerPoint slide presentation live by the speaker.

Guilds with membership over 100 persons should invest in their own Zoom Pro account. One to two guild members with Zoom expertise should moderate the guild meeting, including member entrance (someone monitoring the Zoom waiting room) and guild business announcements. One or two practice sessions with the speaker and other board members prior to the guild meeting are recommended.

IN-PERSON LIVE appearances:  I require a minimum of 2 full teaching days – lectures are added to the teaching requirement – this can be in any of the following formats:

Please register students with consideration for sufficient classroom space! Students will require 1/2 to one full banquet table (standard size, not narrow "half tables") for workspace; the room must have adequate electrical capacity for 4–8 irons and sewing machines.

My web page features a gallery of quilt photos. Most supply lists are available online for students and event organizers. Please refer students to the most up-to-date online supply lists at all times for your event.

Please mail me a copy of the event information including my own supply lists. This enables me to check the mailing, ensuring the transmissions were complete and nothing was omitted. Thank you!

One-hour presentations feature a combination of projected digital images and numerous quilts. Airline weight restrictions now dictate that I bring a smaller collection of quilts. If your event is interested in paying for an additional suitcase, it is possible to bring more quilts. (Fee costs differ each direction at the present time – subject to change by the airline industry.)

Product sales revenue is not split with the sponsoring venue. Revenue covers product costs, shipping expenses to & from the event, and bookkeeping fees. The products are available as a courtesy to attendees at your event, and many are specific to the workshops I teach.

Any kit fees are paid to the instructor (either in class, or in addition to the teaching fees). These cover cost of materials in each kit, labor and employee fees to cut and prepare kits for the classes. An attendee "head count" is required several weeks prior to the event to insure shipping adequate numbers of kits for the workshop. If kit fees are collected from students at time of registration, they will be paid to the instructor on the day of the class. I try to bring a couple of extra kits above the registered number of students for late registrants.

Thank you for considering me as a teacher, presenter and faculty member for your guild or seminar event.

Sincerely, Jan Krentz
