This traditional Hunter Star layout features a "star-within-a-star" variation, achieved with the layout of light, medium, and dark blocks. The background fabrics are soft blues and greens, with the stars being very dark navy blues and forest greens.
You can see a variation of this same quilt layout, the Plaid Hunter Star, which features the quilt, above, made with dark rich autumn colors of browns, tans, reds, forest greens and gold stars. The outer border features a horse print.
