Jane’s early work was an amazing collection of stylized applique designs based upon plant life. When Jane began designing fabric, she transferred those stylized botanical designs into large-scale whimsical bright fabric motifs.<\/p>\n

Jane\u00a0creates simple pieced designs from her wild, wonderful large-scale printed fabrics. Quilters were intrigued, seeing\u00a0her gorgous printed designs, and needing Jane’s vision for how they might be used successfully in a wide variety of applications: quilts, home decor, clothing and accessories.<\/p>\n

Jane and I were teaching at Empty Spools Seminars <\/a>a few years ago. We were discussing\u00a0simple templates for dramatic\u00a0star designs. I provided Jane with a set of the fast2cut Fussy Cutter 45-degree diamond rulers<\/a>.Jane\u00a0began playing with diamond and star shaped medallion patterns, incorporating her gorgeous botanical fabrics into the traditional pieced designs. With selective diamond and square\u00a0cuts, capturing various printed motifs and grouping them in traditional mediallion settings, Jane’s Broken Star quilts are spectacular!<\/td>\n\u00a0\"\"<\/a>\u00a0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
