Freedom Isn't Free
In response to my children's questions about the meaning of the phrase "Freedom Isn't Free", I created a simple Ohio Star quilt with stenciled lettering around the border. A variable star variation incorporates printed fabric reminiscent of a US flag. The border features phrases and first lines from national anthems, the Pledge of Allegiance and other patriotic works. 1988 |
