We are sitting, watching the news and seeing EIGHT fires burning wild through our county – it is a scary time. I have taken some pictures of the view from my home and looking out the window of the sewing studio.

Our cars are packed for evacuation, and we are waiting to know whether the winds are shifting and the fires are encroaching towards us. No photos can share the acrid odor of smoke, nor the drifting ash. The local fire fighters and residents are evacuating without panic - folks have been moving people's livestock (horses and exotic animals) and pets, moving patients and elderly from hospitals and convalescent homes to safer places.
